A more than satisfactory solution.

It has been an accepted Riley ritual since she has been able to eat on her own, that she has been allowed to eat breakfast and snacks at the "little table", while lunch and supper are eaten at the dining table with the family. In recent weeks the "little table" has been posing a bit of a problem, if you recall.

That's right, every time we turned around, this is what we would find. So the little table has made it's way to the front porch, where Emily is on "high alert" supervision anyway. Unfortunately this has left Riley with the coffee table in the 'red room' as her only breakfast/snack table option - not really optimal for any of us. So yesterday we came up with what I think is a more than satisfactory solution. I thought back to visits with Amber and the "picnics" her children would have on their little t.v. trays. Though this has been a little craft and travel table for Riley, it is now a snack table - perfect - as Emily is always either in her high chair or napping during these most important eating times for Riley.
