Not that it was planned, but after bundling up and trekking to the local ice rink only to find out that parent/tot skating had been rescheduled, we hiked home, grabbed the car and went to Covent Garden. Ended up being a better idea anyway. Though it was 14 below with who knows what ghastly windchill accompanied that temp., we were all warm 'enough' to enjoy the outdoor rink for a short time anyway. Riley and Kris skated, while me and Em walked laps around the perimeter. The best part though - hot chocolate with whipped cream and cinnamon which we enjoyed in the market afterwards. A very nice Saturday morning indeed.
