The Unofficial Start of Summer

May 24 - aka - Summer. Technically a month early, but in Canada this is when summer begins. Pools are opened, 2-4s of beer are drank, summer clothes are pulled out etc. etc. etc.
We couldn't have started out the weekend any worse. Saturday morning Riley was sick and it was pouring rain with thunderstorm warnings. Depressing.
But Sunday we woke up to clear skies, a daughter on the mend and an invite to a family bbq at the Kelso's. Kris golfed in the am, then went to our new house to help open the pool. Riley felt great by noon, so after Emily's nap we suited up and made a mad dash for the kiddie pool. It was a fun day/night hanging out with our friend. I must remember in the future to take pictures of the adults instead of the kids all the time :) Shari was the token mom caught on film.




Monday was hot, hot, hot. So we pulled out the water table and the sprinkler and the kids had a blast. We were also treated to an impromptu rock concert. So cute.
