A Long Awaited Reunion

So on Saturday night we had a reunion of sorts. Dinner out with a great group of girls from Highschool who we hadn't seen for 15 years. 15 years seems crazy, so we were all a bit nervous going in. But once we were all together, it seemed as though we had just seen each other yesterday. I guess strong bonds you have with people when you are young will always be there, even if you have all moved on in different direction.
Cindy came down Saturday Morning - the Hubbies went out golfing, and Julie, Cindy, Amber and I hung out at our place during the day. Cindy's wee baby Brian isn't so wee anymore (well he is, but not comparatively to the last time we had seen him in his little incubator in Toronto). He is now three months old and he couldn't be any cuter, and she couldn't be happier. I love Cindy as a mommy - she is so freakin' sweet. My favorite part of the day was when she intermittently kept interupting conversations to remind us that she was the only mother in the world and that her baby was the cutest most adorable child to EVER be born - hilarious. And we of course confirmed and verified that truth to her!!! It was so nice to see them. Unfortunately Cindy wasn't able to stick around for the evening reunion with our long lost group of friends, for obvious reasons.
So how did our evening come about?? Amber reconnected with Jenn Pinnell and Kelly Winegard when she moved back to Sarnia and they have stayed in close contact with Carrie DeVries. And of course Amber, Julie, Cindy and I are still quite the team. How would these two groups of girls get along when put together. Quite famously actually. We had loads of fun, loads of reminiscing and updating each other and just generally having some great conversation. I think we were at the restaurant for at least 4 hours and then went out for drinks after. We will definitely not be waiting another 15 years before we get together again. Actually, I think we are going to plan on another gathering in the fall after Amber moves into her NEW CONDO IN LONDON - hurray - which she moves into in August. So here are the girls - Jenn, Amber, Julie, Me, Carrie and Kelly.
